Managing Partner, Weigl Law Team

Krystal K. Weigl

Krystal K. Weigl is the esteemed Managing Partner of the Weigl Law Team, where her diverse litigation expertise drives the firm's commitment to excellence in advocacy.
With a robust background in complex commercial litigation, Krystal represents both large corporations and individual clients with equal dedication. Her corporate practice spans intellectual property, entity formation and dissolution, and commercial real estate, while her individual representation has ranged from civil rights, product liability, and pharmaceutical drug and device liability. Krystal has regularly provided pro bono domestic violence representation throughout her career.Krystal's distinguished career is marked by her successful advocacy in both the Missouri and Illinois Bar associations, as well as her practice in the Southern District of Illinois and the Eastern District of Missouri. Her professional achievements are complemented by her role as a thought leader in lawyer well-being, reflecting her belief that quality advocacy is rooted in the well-being of its practitioners.A proud Saint Louisan and Syracuse University alumna, Krystal is also an active member of the Board of Directors for the Susan G. Komen Foundation for Missouri. Her dedication to both her clients and community underscores her core philosophy: doing well by doing good. The pages of Krystal’s book of business are a testament to her commitment to good people and meaningful causes.
Litigation partner

Luke D. Jackson

Luke Jackson serves as the firm’s litigation partner. Prior to joining the Weigl Law team, Luke gained substantial litigation ​experience as an attorney at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner and Lewis Rice.
He specializes in complex litigation matters across a variety of legal fields, ​including contract disputes, ​partnership disputes, property law, and securities and investments disputes. Luke is truly a litigator at his core. Over the course of his career, he has worked on behalf of clients ​ranging from Fortune 100 companies around the nation, to individual Saint Louis residents. Luke’s dedication to his clients and passion for their causes are apparent in every argument he makes.Luke and his wife are also co-owners of several Saint Louis businesses. The combination of extensive business experience and commercial legal expertise makes Luke especially effective at ​advising and advocating for his fellow entrepreneurs and business owners.Luke is a lifelong St. Louisan, an Air Force veteran, and the very proud father of ​two amazing kids.
Employment Law Partner

J. Clayton Schaeffer

Clayton Schaeffer oversees Weigl Law’s employment law practice group. Clay is a distinguished attorney specializing in employment law and complex litigation.
With a strong commitment to advocating for justice, Clay brings extensive expertise and a proven track record to his practice.Clay earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia where he studied in the Honors College and learned foundational principles of critical thinking. He then matriculated to the University of Dayton as a Dean’s Scholar from which he earned a Juris Doctor degree over a decade ago.Prior to joining Weigl Law, Clay worked in house at an international manufacturing company, then transitioned to a Plaintiff-focused practice in 2016, most recently as the managing partner for the law firm McMichael, Logan, Schaeffer, & Gilpin until the retirements of his former law partners.  While there, he helped achieve many positive outcomes including multiple six figure and seven figure settlements and judgments. Clay’s practice is marked by his involvement in several prominent legal organizations, including the National Employment Lawyers Association, the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, and the American Association for Justice. His affiliations with these organizations reflect his dedication to advancing the rights of individuals and ensuring fair representation in complex legal matters

Alfons J. Weigl, III

With a construction and business background founded in the family-owned construction business, Alfons brings a wealth of practical knowledge to the paralegal team at Weigl Law.
Having worked in the industry from a young age, Alfons has developed a deep understanding of construction-related issues, which proves invaluable in assisting clients with contractor disputes and other related matters.In addition to Alfons’ practical experience, he is currently pursuing a passion for screenwriting through UCLA's esteemed program. This creative pursuit has honed Alfons’ storytelling and narrative skills, enhancing his ability to craft compelling and persuasive legal arguments. With a unique blend of hands-on industry knowledge and a flair for narrative construction, Alfons excels at telling clients' stories and advocating for their needs effectively.At Weigl Law, Alfons leverages his diverse background to provide insightful and thorough support, ensuring that each client's case is handled with both precision and creativity.
Practice Manager

Olivia K. Weigl

Olivia Weigl is the Practice Manager at Weigl Law.  She  brings a distinctive perspective to the legal field, shaped by her previous career as a high school biology teacher.
With a background in education and a keen interest in operational efficiency, Olivia excels in managing the multifaceted aspects of law firm administration.Before joining Weigl Law, Olivia taught at Riverview Gardens High School, where she developed a strong foundation in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and clear communication. These skills have seamlessly translated into her role in the legal sector, where she is instrumental in coordinating daily operations, optimizing workflow, and ensuring a high standard of client service.Olivia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Saint Louis University and a Master’s degree in Secondary Education from University of Missouri Saint Louis. Her journey from the classroom to the courtroom reflects her passion for advocacy through education and her commitment to her community..Outside of the office, Olivia is an enthusiastic advocate of equitable education and serves on the Loyola Academy of Saint Louis’ Friends Board. Olivia’s unique blend of educational insight and management skills makes her a valuable asset to the firm, driving both operational excellence and a supportive workplace culture.
